Day 1 - New Delhi to Jim Corbett National Park
Your journey begins as you travel from New Delhi to Jim Corbett National Park. Arriving in the evening, check into your lodge and enjoy some rest as you prepare for action-packed days of exploration ahead. Jim Corbett National Park is named after the famous hunter-turned-naturalist, Jim Corbett. It serves as a protected area for the critically endangered Bengal tiger and in recent times, has also become known for vulture conservation. It is home to over 50 varieties of mammals, about 600 species of birds and 25 reptilian species. The pride of Corbett is its population of tigers, leopards and rare gharials.
Days 2 - Jim Corbett National Park
Enjoy full day of morning and afternoon game drives in Corbett National Park. Apart from the tigers and leopards you may see barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer, blackbucks, chitals, sloth bears, Himalayan black bears, yellow-throated martens, langurs and Rhesus monkeys. Large elephant herds can be seen in the summer. Corbett is a popular bird watching destination as it is home to more than 600 species of domestic and migratory birds. Some of the common resident birds are grey herons, cattle egrets, white-necked and black-necked storks, spotbills, large pied wagtails, and white-capped redstarts. If you're lucky you might spot elusive birds like hawk-eagles, crested honey buzzards, and black eagles.
Day 3 - Jim Corbett National Park to New Delhi
Your final safari for the holiday is an up-close experience on elephant back on the fringe of Corbett National Park. Then bid farewell to the jungle and travel to New Delhi for your onward journey home.
